A New Addition to the Ang Family

Ms. Gabrielle Ang was borned on the 2nd June 2009, this probably explains my absence to the blog world for the past 6 months. Having to handle 2 kids with such close age gap really is a challenge. Daddy has commented that he can only cope with 2 kids and with this comment, Mummy will close her factory.

For the past 6 months, it was not as smooth sailing as it could have been. We always thought by sending Kieron to 1/2 day childcare will lighten my in-laws workload and Kieron will be able to learn new stuff. But on the contrary, he has been sick at least once a month. To make things worse, the viruses he picks up from school is so lethal that when Gaby contracts it, she falls seriously ill. She has been hospitalised once when she was 2 months old from acute bronchitis. I have been telling Daddy that the air ventilation at the childcare is so poor that the kids are spreading their germs to one and another. Kieron was the next victim to land in the hospital when a viral fever. Seriously hope this vicious cycle of falling sick will stop.

On a cheerier note, Kieron have grown up quite a bit. He can converse in sentences and he is effectively biligual as well. He speaks to Ah Gong and Ah Ma in Chinese and English to Daddy and Mummy. As for Gaby, she has an angelic face but devil's temper. Once she start crying, there will not be an end unless someone she likes carries her. But how can you be angry at her for long when she looks so adorable. Daddy and Mummy has indeed not been paying much attention to Gaby as we are worried that Kieron may feel neglected so we tend to bring Kieron out more often (only to Jurong Point) and leave the poor gal at home. And everytime we leave the house, Mei Mei will cry and Mummy's heart will ache. Will give Mei Mei more attention from now on.

Another happy thing worth mentioning is our house. After waiting for 6 years, the day to collect our keys is just a week away. Finally, we have our own apartment and the kids will have more space to play. Will update more about the house in time to come :)

Mummy's Cooking Day!

Ah Ma had another follow up appointment with her doctor for glaucoma operation which happened in February 2009, so Mummy took leave to take care of Baby Kieron.

Mummy planned to do tons of cooking to save some money. For a start, Mummy started cooking breakfast at 8.30am when Kieron started nagging at her for eggs. The only breakfast Mummy could whipped out within 15 minutes was french toasts. Kieron had a good 1.5 slices of french toasts. At about 10am, Kieron wandered into Ah Ma's room and found his bicycle and demanded that we went out. So Mummy pushed Kieron in the bicycle to the nearby playground where he kicked ball and played for a while before he was willing to go back home.

At about 11am, Mummy started getting ready Kieron's lunch. The menu for today is Fried Cod Fish and Potato & Carrot Soup.

Mummy finally finished cooking by 11.45pm and Kieron took 5 bites and decided that he had enough. Mummy was frustrated as she put in so much effort into cooking and baby only ate a small portion. Ah Ma commented that it was Kieron's usual lunch habits. He would eat very little during lunch but will wallop his dinner thereafter. Mummy felt comforted after hearing that. I chose to believe that he ate so much for breakfast (he drank 120ml of milk at 7.30am, ate 2 cube cheese at 8am, another 1.5 slices of bread at 8.30am and drank another 120ml of milk at 9.30am - I didn't force him, he requested all these himself) he could eat much for lunch :) Baby took his bath and drank milk again! at about 12.30pm and drifted off to his dreamland for an hour and worked up at 1.30pm.

Ah Ma and Ah Gong finally returned at 1pm and it was Mummy's turn to rest. I took a nap from 1.30pm - 3.30pm, shioks!. At about 5.30pm, brought Kieron down in his bicycle and walked for a round before he came back and ate his dinner. Mummy had to hide in the room whilst he takes his dinner as he would want me to feed and it will take forever as he know how to bully his Mummy.

Due to a short nap in the afternoon, he was superbly tired and went to bed at 8pm. An incredibly shagged day for Mummy but it was all worth it :)

We are going to the Zoo!

Daddy and Mummy have been wanting to bring Kieron to the Jurong Bird Park as darling have taken a liking to birds. He is able to identify the birds and even call them, "bird bird". Being the practical daddy, he mentioned that he rather bring Kieron to the Zoo where there are more animals other than birds. Mummy agreed as Kieron was able to mimic the sounds of various animals (miao miao for cats, woof woof for dogs, roar for lions, etc).

We woke up bright and early and left the house by 10am and reached the zoo by 10.30am. Daddy insisted that Kieron bought a cap as the weather was hot and sunny, so we headed to the pricey shops at the entrance of the zoo and Mummy chose a zoo jungle cap and Kieron had to buy the biggest size.

We walked towards the first venue for the animal show and in between we visited the white tigers and Mummy made the roar sound and Kieron said Miao Miao instead. Mummy was surprised Kieron was able to recognise the tigers as cats. Smart Boy!

Daddy carried Kieron into the very crowded animal zoo and Mummy had to stand elsewhere to guard the stroller. Kieron didn't like the fact the place was crowded and he didn't like to sit down. So poor Daddy had to carry Kieron throughout the show in the horrid weather.

After the show, we went to the nearby Ah Meng cafe for some air-con and foot rest. We walked around and Kieron actually fell sleep mid-way and Daddy thought it was the perfect timing for us to take our lunch. Daddy actually wanted to leave the zoo but Mummy insisted that Kieron haven't got the chance to see the giraffe, the ostrich and the lions which he recognises from the Hi-5 cd. So we head back to the Ah Meng Cafe for some pricey lunch and Baby woke up after we finished our lunch and he had some milk for lunch as he didn't want Mummy's fish and chips.

We dropped by the kids waterworld playground and the patting zoo before bring Kieron to see the giraffes, ostrich and the lions. We only left the zoo at 2pm.

Overall, Mummy thought this zoo trip was more worthwhile than the previous trip as Kieron enjoyed himself more with the animals and understood more stuff at 20 months.

Bubble Time

Daddy and Mummy initially wanted to play the bubbles at the beach, but Kieron was so involved in his sand-castle set that he didn't need any other toys when we were there. Instead, we only played the bubbles on Sunday at Por Por house's corridor. We did migrate to the void deck later as it was more spacious and windier.

A Day At the Beach

Mummy and Daddy were wrecking our brains where to bring Kieron over the weekend. We didn't want to bring baby to another shopping centre or Go Go Bambini again. So after much deliberation, it was going to be a short trip to the beach.

We swing by United Square for Kieron's visit to his PD to get his Hep A jab, had some lunch and yet another haircut. We searched around the entire shopping centre in hope of finding sand castle equipment for Kieron to play with at the beach but even Toys"R" Us didn't have it. Amazing! Instead, we bought Kieron another ball and some bubbles.

By the time we left United Square, it was almost 2.30pm and we only reached East Coast at 3.15pm (because Mummy missed a turn on the expressway). Whilst walking to the beach, there were plenty carts selling toys, clothes and we finally found the sand castle masak masak and it only cost $8.90! Mummy bought it straight away :) Kieron couldn't wait to get his hands on his new toys and started playing with the sand. Half way through, Kieron gave the "da bian" signal(he will start hitting his pampers and give his "Hmm Hmm" face). Mummy thought it was the worst place to have to change pampers, and Mummy wanted to save the trip to the loo and change baby's pampers there and then. However, Mummy being the very considerate park go-er dragged Kieron (baby refused to leave the sand and even threw a tantrum) and his bag to the nearest toilet. Mummy reckoned that East Coast should seriously renovate the toilets and charge lesser for the entry fees. Due to Mummy's current pregnancy, she couldn't stop puking when changing Kieron's pampers. After a quick and clean change, Kieron was all set to go back to the beach.

It was close to 4.30pm and Mummy told Daddy that it was not good that Kieron have been exposed to the sun for such long periods of time, and Kieron's cheeks were flushed from the heat. So we packed up and headed to MacDonalds for some tea. We headed back to Por Por's house for a quick rest and bath and went out again to the airport to send Auntie Nikki and Family off to Melbourne for their annual holiday.

Kieron loved the airport as well as he had so much space to run. Mummy will bring Kieron there again next week when we go pick Auntie Nikki home.

Kieron's Day Out with Mummy

Its the time of the year again for Ah-Ma to go for her operation. This time around her eyes were giving her problems. So Daddy took leave to acompany Ah-Ma to the hospital for her glaucoma operation, whilst Mummy took leave to keep a watchful eye over Kieron.

Daddy, Uncle Ben, Ah Gong and Ah Ma left the house very early (6.30am) for the hospital. Kieron only woke up much later at about 8am. Mummy brought baby over to Jurong Point, hoping for some American breakfast at Swensen's but unfortunately they only serve breakfast on the weekends. We headed to the only place which served trusty breakfast, Macs. Kieron had his first Kid's meal at Macdonalds and he truly enjoyed his hotcakes. However, eating have been a mess recently as he insists on self-feeding.

Daddy called Mummy later in the morning to let her know that they will be back home by 2pm so there was a slight change of plans. After reaching home after breakfast, we rested a while and packed up to leave for Queensway Shopping Centre to get baby another pair of sandals as Ah Gong mentioned that the CROCS was wore were making him trip very often. We reached Queensway Shopping Centre at 11am and guess what? The shops there do not open till 11.30am, lucky employees! Meanwhile, Kieron get to play with all the kiddy rides whilst waiting for the shops to open. By 11.30am, Baby continued to play on the rides and Mummy went to survey all the shops for suitable sandals. Mummy came to the conclusion that all the shops there are owned by 1 single owner as the prices were all the same, so it didn't matter which shop we went to. We finally settled on a pair of nike sandals for $39.

By the time we were done at Queensway, it was time for lunch. Mummy knew that Kieron loved the food at IKEA so we popped by the Alexandra branch as it was just a 5 minutes drive away. Kieron had his usual dose of cream soup, some of mummy's roast chicked and some fried rice. We walked around IKEA and Mummy bought some stuff and we left the place at 2pm. Kieron knocked out in the car and continued his nap at home.

Mummy was worried that she could not manage without Daddy but the day seemed to go quite well. More trips for Kieron and Mummy in the future :)

Mummy finally manage to shoot a video of Kieron kicking football like a professional. He only shouts "Goal!" when he feels that it's a good enough kick. Subsequently, he will act as if he is a professional soccer player who scored a goal and even kissed the floor as a sign of happiness. There are even times, he would slide on the floor like its a soccer pitch. This video is priceless.

* The weird thing is that he have never watched any soccer matches on TV, so Mummy and Daddy have absolutely no idea where he learnt the actions. Amazing!

Auntie April and Cousin Jiaying dropped by to visit Ah Ma and Ah Gong on Saturday so Daddy say we go over to Por Por slightly later as it was also raining very heavily. The reason for your sweaty look in the pictures were because you played with cousin Jiaying for a good full hour and in between you snacked on mango puff bought by Auntie April. From the pictures, you enjoyed it tremendously :)

Sunday Outing at Guangyin Miao, Ikea and Vivocity

Kieron have started the bad habit of being very finicky with his food. He have stopped taking his porridge for 2 weeks, instead he wants to eat adult food. He also rejected his Ah-Ma's cooking which worries Mummy as Kieron is under Ah Ma's care for the entire weekdays. So she decided to go Guangyin Miao to pray that Kieron eats his lunch and dinner obediently.

After the temple visit, Mummy suggested going to Ikea as Ikea has Kiddy Meals which she believes Kieron will enjoy. In addition, she wanted to buy a kids' chair for him to take his meals at the coffee table (he have also started to detest sitting on his hair-chair). Mummy tried bought the kiddy size tomato paste pasta, but he doesn't like it and spits it out. So Mummy gave Kieron her portion of cream soup (he drank 3/4 of her soup), he wanted to eat Kaka's rice and Mummy gave him some of her roast chicken leg. Moral of the story is, he likes what we eat and not what kids eat.

We walked around in Ikea and Kieron truly enjoyed himself in the children section as it was like a playground for kids. He played with all the toys and refused to leave till Daddy have to grab him and go to the other departments. Mummy found a nice rattan chair for kids and bought it instantly as it only cost $19.00.We dropped by Vivocity to exchange a belt which Mummy bought for Daddy as a Valentine's Day present. We went over to Toy'R'Us to buy even more toys for Kieron (Daddy bought a bagful of plastic fruits so that Daddy can teach Kieron to differentiate the fruits, a plastic hammer which baby refused to put down and Mummy bought for Kieron "Bob The Builder" Figurines). We popped by Giant to get a cooler box to store Kieron's weekly supply of fish and meat before finally going home.

Busy Busy Sunday

It's another busy day today. As usual, Mummy had to fetch Por Por to the market to get her weekly groceries for Auntie Nikki, herself and Mummy. We left the market earlier so that we could rush back to cook Kieron's lunch and dinner as we promised to be present at Baby Yen Cong's 1st birthday party.

It was a mad rush at home, as Kaka had to learn how to cook Kieron's new set of meals from Por Por, she had to bathe Kieron and clean up 1 of the rooms. Mummy gave her a hand and packed the bags and we were set to leave the house at 12.45pm. We only reached the birthday party venue at 2+pm as we had to go home to leave Kieron's weekly supply of food. The food at Essential Brew was quite yummy and Kieron ate 3-4 slices of fried fish cutlets.

Kieron also had a great time running about, playing with Uncle Ken and Daddy. He also had 2 slices of birthday cake! (what's new, hehe). The party ended at 3+pm and Daddy thought it was quite early to go home, so we popped by Vivocity for 2 hours to do some casual shopping. Mummy and Kaka went to the foodcourt to tabao dinner, whilst Kieron and Daddy played on the kiddy rides.

Busy Busy Saturday

Kieron is exactly 18 months today and he is due for his 18th months booster jab. Mummy tried to make appointment with the PD, but unfortunately he was full so the nurse advised us to do a walk in appointment instead. We left the house at 10.30am and reached United Square at 11am. Mummy dropped Daddy first so that he could register Kieron for the appointment. We had to wait for almost 2 hours before it was Kieron's turn.

Luckily for us, we had a ton of things to do in between. Kieron's hair was getting too long so baby went for his haircut at Junior League and Mummy even requested for her favourite kiddy hairdresser. Mummy told Daddy that Kieron has his preferred hairdresser at the age of 18 months, amazing! Mummy felt that the other Junior League's hairdresser could not match up to the lady over at United Square. So if Kieron needs another haircut in the future, we have to go back to United Square.

Kieron detests having his hair cut, so Mummy have to try all ways and means to entertain the naughty face during the haircut. One of which is bringing his all time favourite Bob The Builder VCD to the shop and request for them to play it to distract Kieron. Another sure prove method is to feed his sweets when he was cutting his hair. Think the latter worked better. This explains the expression on Kieron's face whilst Mummy take the photos (all having the pouty mouth expression coz he is sucking the sweet). For once, Kieron didn't cry whilst having his haircut, yeah!

After the haircut, we went for lunch at the foodcourt. (Off late, Kieron started detesting eating his routine porridge, so Mummy thought its about time Kieron tried having adult food.) Mummy headed over to Macdonalds to buy baby a fillet-o-fish burger and Kieron enjoyed it tremendously and finished 1/2 of the burger and the entire piece of fish.

The haircut, the lunch, a few kiddy rides, and it was finally our turn at the PDs'. Kieron went for his jab and Mummy took the opportunity to ask the doctor Kieron's lower jaw. Dr Ong mentioned that Kieron's longer jaw was slightly longer than the upper jaw but it may just be a case of the longer jaw developing faster than the upper jaw. He said that there was nothing we could do till the permanent teeth emerges. Thus, Mummy and Daddy just hoped for the best that it is nothing serious.

Afterwhich, we went over to Por Por's house for our usual weekend stay. Mummy suggested that they headed over to Compasspoint just 30 minutes after stepping step into the house and Kieron was out again. During the trip, Por Por bought Kieron tons of things again. She knew that baby started on rice, so she bought a mini rice-cooker for Kaka to cook your meals. She also bought 2 pillows (1 for her house and 1 for our house) and 1 cold pillow (coz Mummy complained that Kieron always perspire whilst taking his naps in the car.

Finally, we reached home and we were absolutely shagged out from the whole day's activities that we all knocked out at 10pm.

Dinner at Din Tai Fung

Mummy felt that it was about time she treated Ah Gong and Por Por for a good meal for all the love they showered on Kieron.

In the evening, we went to Din Tai Fung at Raffles City for dinner. Mummy ordered a whole lot of things (20 xiao long bao, drunken chicken, 2 different veges, 3 bowls of noodles, 2 different fried rice). Mummy was anticipating to taste the infamous xiao long bao, when she took the first bite, she was disappointed. She felt that the xiao long bao at Crystal Jade was much nicer and didn't understand why there was always a long queue outside Din Tai Fung. Everyone felt that the food was just okay.

After dinner, we bade farewell to Ah Gong and Por Por. Mummy wanted to buy more books for Kieron and we headed to MPH. Mummy walked in circles around the kiddy books section and couldn't find anything for Kieron. However, as we were exiting the bookshop, Mummy found a Bob the Builder book. Kieron was so excited and didn't want to let go, so Mummy bought the book. (Kieron obsession with Bob the builder started when he started watch the DVD a few weeks ago)

From the time he held on to the book, he kept on repeating, "Bob Bob" till we reached the car. He wanted to read the book throughout the car journey but Daddy and Mummy refused as it was too dark and Kaka had to trick you and hide the book till we reached home. The minute, Kieron set his eyes on the book again, he didnt want to let go and wanted everyone to read the book with him. He was so happy, he even danced and start kicking his feet in the air. This is the first time, Mummy felt that her purchase was worth it as Kieron like the book even after a few hours. Not long after, when no one wanted to read the book according to how he liked it, he started throwing tantrums. No one could understand what Kieron was asking, so he was angry, poor boy.

Happy Chinese New Year!

This is Kieron's 2nd Chinese New Year and Mummy started her shopping spree for baby very early this year. She bought Kieron 4 tops and 3 bottoms from FOX during their mega sale in December 2008 and another 2 sets of PJs from Kiddy Palace much later.

On New Year's Eve, Daddy, Mummy, Kieron, Ah Gong, Ah Ma and Kaka headed over to Uncle Ben and Auntie Huang Hai's house for reunion dinner. After dinner, Kieron took another bath (3 times that day) and changed into his first set of brand new PJs ( The starry mickey mouse PJs).

During the first day of Chinese New Year, we left the house at about 11.30am to go over to Por Por's house for lunch. Afterwhich, we followed Ah Gong to do some house visiting. However, we only managed to visit Mummy's grand auntie's house in Bukit Timah and went back home as we stayed there for close to 2 hours and Kieron was totally shagged out.

For the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, we went to Daddy's Auntie's place at Everton Park. Mummy is ever so excited to go there as their house was just opposite our new house and Mummy and Daddy could observe the progress of our new house.

We stayed for an hour and headed over to Mummy's Ah Gong's house to visit Kieron's great grandfather. Uncle Jon was the official photographer and starting snapping pictures for everyone again (thanks uncle jon for the great pictures!).

We left great granddad's place at 4+pm and went over to Auntie Nikki's house for some gambling session. When Mummy was trying her hand at blackjack, Daddy was busying taking care and playing with Kieron. Kieron came across this pram and doll and started pushing it around. Not long later, he found a toy milk bottle and started feeding the doll milk. Everyone in the family was stunned that Kieron could do that as he only started drinking milk himself just a few weeks before. Mummy was so proud of Kieron and knew that he will be a great brother to his mei mei Gabby.

Baby Kieron Ang have gotten a million times naughtier over time. He has learnt to climb on tables and dance on them. Even when Mummy has scolded him or even slap his hand to tell him that its wrong and dangerous, he ignores me and continues.

Daddy, a big liverpool fan, has converted his little one to be a soccer player at 1.8 months old. Check out his dribbling in the video above.

Besides that, Kieron as a fascination with balls. He can say the word ball before calling Daddy and Mummy, he says the word the minute he gets up from bed, he says the word even in his sleep. Amazing!

Kieron's First Pair of CROCS

Mummy resisted buying Kieron a pair of CROCS for the longest time as she felt that it was very expensive ($50+ for a pair, more expensive than Mummy's shoes!) for kiddy shoes.

Por Por noticed that Kieron's addidas sandals were starting to get small so she said she will buy the CROCS for Kieron instead. We headed to a CROC shop at Marina Square, and Mummy immediately chose a Disney Mickey Mouse CROCS (it looked the nicest). Kieron was super duper cranky over the weekend, so Por Por and Mummy couldn't do much shopping in Marina Square so we headed home after getting the CROCS.

Daddy have been nagging at Mummy to arrange for another trial class for Kieron and his condition for this trial class is that it must be convenient for Mummy to bring Kieron by herself in case Daddy had to work on a certain weekend. With this condition, Mummy signed up for a trial class at Tumble Tots in Punggol Plaza (since Mummy goes back to Por Por's house every weekend).

Unfortunately, Tumble Tots was very strict with photo taking during the class, so Mummy can only capture the pictures of Kieron and Daddy walking to the class.

After the class, Mummy felt that it was not worth to sign up the package. The class was broken down to first 15 minutes of free play, next 15 minutes of singing session and last 15 minutes of free play again. Altogether, there was 30 minutes of playing with their equipment by themselves! If I wanted Kieron to play by himself, I would bring him to a indoor playground. Moreover, the facilitators was not enganging enough to could not capture Kieron's attention, unlike Gymboree's or Kindermuzik's. Some of the equipment they use were also dangerous. Kieron kept wanting to play the wooden sticks and it nearly hit a few of the other toddlers. With that said, this class may not be of Kieron's interest but it maybe of other kid's.

It was Ah-Gong's 63rd Birthday, so we went for a family dinner at the trusty REX Halal Restaurant over at Prinsep Street. Auntie Nikki picked up the bill for dinner, whilst Mummy bought the cake (alittle small as Mummy was expecting to just stay at home for a simple dinner without Auntie Nikki and family).

Christmas 2008

This is Kieron's 2nd Christmas celebration. This year, we went to New Park Hotel at Kitchener Road for our Christmas Eve buffet with Mummy's family. Kieron ate more than his cousins. He had 1 log cake, 2 slices of turkey, 1 scoop of ice cream, etc.

On the way back home, Kieron was totally exhuasted and head straight to dreamland as soon as the car started moving. He continued with his beauty rest when we reached home, so he couldn't open his presents till Christmas day.

Por Por and Ah Gong came and fetch us back to Punggol this evening as Daddy had to help out his bestest friend in the wedding preparations the following day.

We headed to Suntec City for some Tony Roma's ribs and Mummy was surprised that they actually have kiddy crayons and colouring paper to entertain the kids. Kieron was preoccupied with his new toys for a good 15 mins till the food arrived. Afterwhich, it was just eating, eating, eating for the little one (he already had a hearty dinner that evening).

Trial Class at Gymboree

Daddy and Mummy have signed Kieron up for yet another trial class. This time is at Gymboree at Tanglin Place.

Gymboree's ambience was really clean (the place actually have the smell of dettol, so you can be sure its very sterile) and colourful. As the class was small, Mummy and Daddy could attend the class with Kieron. Mummy did all the singing and dancing with baby and Daddy did all the physical lifting and carrying.

Mummy was looking forward to the bubble session the most. This was Kieron's first time playing with soap bubbles and he totally enjoyed it. Mummy will buy the bubble solution from Toys'R'us and play with baby at the park soon.

Overall, Mummy felt that Gymboree was more fun than Kindermusik. The games and the equipment was more interesting. However, Daddy felt the class at one point was very disorganised as there was only 1 coordinator and the kids was sprawling all over the place just playing with the equipment. And this portion of the play took majority of the time, thus not learning much and not capturing Kieron's attention. In addition, Gymboree's classes cost twice as much as Kindermusik. One trial class at Gymboree cost $40! At the end of the session, Daddy said that we will try other trial classes first before we commit to anything.

Daddy thought its about time Kieron attends some sort of a class to interact with other kids. Daddy gave Mummy a whole list of suitable classes and its Mummy's turn to do her homework and arrange for some trial classes for Kieron to attend.

Top of the list was Kindermusik at Tanglin Place. At the start of the class, Kieron was very reserve and stuck to Daddy like super glue but he soon opened up and crawl all over the place. He was very engaged at what the teacher was doing and with Daddy's help, he tried his best to follow the very nice teacher. During one of the play sessions, the teacher asked the kiddies to return the toys and I was very pleasantly surprised that Kieron took his toys and put it back into the teacher's basket. Mummy thought you were about to go to the basket to exchange for other toys but you didnt. Both Daddy and Mummy were so proud of Kieron for following instructions.

Mummy couldn't do a video or take nice photos as I was standing outside a glass door and the view from outside was not as good. But here are some pictures of Kieron in his first ever class.

Kieron was due to take his 2nd pneumoccocal jab and since there was a Junior League at United Square. Mummy decided to bring the little monster to cut his overgrown hair.

As usual, its a torture session at Junior League. Everytime Kieron cuts his hair, it seems like the most painful thing on earth. Mummy had to distract him with some monkey acts, give him sweets, I even brought his favourite Hi-5 CD to the shop in case they didn't have any Hi-5 DVDs.

After a good 15-20 mins of distraction, his hair cut was finally completed. I absolutely love his new haircut, it make Kieron look so cool! I will always return to the United Square's Junior League in the future.

Mummy had scheduled her gynae's checkup on the same day as Kieron's vaccination jab so that Kieron can see his didi/mei mei grow in Mummy's tummy. As it was still rather early, we hang around United Square and Kieron sat on almost all the kiddy rides in the shopping mall.

Kieron have been improving on his walking skills. He can walk with assistance for at least 5-6 steps. Really hope he can start walking by himself soon so that it will not be so tiring for Daddy and Kaka.

Daddy called last minute to say he can't fetch us back from Por Por's house as he was working late that night. So poor Ah-Gong have to drive us back, in between, we went to Esplanade's Glutton's Bay for dinner. It was pretty warm that evening, even Kieron was perspiring whilst having his dinner. But the good food made up for the horrible weather, we had BBQed stingray, chicken wings, sambal kangkong, satay and oyster egg, yummy!!!!!!!

Kieron The Monster!

Kieron was an absolute monster during a shopping trip on Deepavali! How naughty was Kieron? Explanations revealed below:

We picked Por Por Bernie from her house then went to Centerpoint for some makan and shopping. During the lunch, Kieron took his lunch first and finished it before we were done so he was making alot of fuss, wanting to be carried, wanting to play, etc. After lunch, when we were shopping in Robinson's, he wanted to crawl on the floor of the shoe section (which Mummy resisted). Then, we headed to the mattress section as Por Por Bernie wanted to purchase a new mattress. Kieron, being his extremely hyper active self, didnt want to sit still and crawled all over the place (This time, Mummy didnt resist, coz no more energy). Mummy couldnt tahan Kieron crankiness, so went to Mothercare to let his sit on his favourite kiddy ride. The kiddy ride had a long queue and when it was his turn, he sat for like 5 secs and when the ride moved, he was scared and wanted out. Mummy till now do not understand Kieron's sudden fear of kiddy rides. He used to love the rides and demand to sit on it and he could go on for like 30 minutes. This time, Mummy's patience running out as she was exhausted and feeling really sleepy so we headed to the cafe at St Michael's. Only when there is food, Kieron can remain in his chair for a good 10-15 minutes. He finished close to an entire muffin and walloped Mummy's ice-chocolate. I guess this explains all his happy photos in this blog entry, sugar rush.

We left for home shortly after and Kieron konked off immediately in the car. Now Mummy understood that the hyper-active behaviour was due to insufficient sleep. At home, Kieron will go into this major craziness before he konks off to sleep.

Por Por very "ga rum" Kieron but Kieron absolutely hates it. Por Por will try to catch Kieron, squeeze the life out of him and Kieron will retaliate and give Por Por a slap (which Mummy will scold him for). Friday Night at Cafe Cartel

As usual, Ah Gong came and Por Por came in the evening to pick us up to spend the weekend at Punggol. One of Ah Gong's favourite dinner haunts is at Cafe Cartel over at Siglap and Ah Gong will order his ribs without fail whilst Por Por had her grilled chicken and Mummy had her carbonara. Who can forget Mr Kieron Ang? Mummy ordered his usual chocolate cake and he enjoyed it tremendously.

Biscuits Galore

Ever since the China milk scandal, Mummy has made sure that Kieron totally stays off China products. Kieron's favourite chicken flavoured biscuits were recalled back by NTUC, thus Mummy has decided to shelf the 3 boxes in the storeroom until further notice.

In order to replace the recalled biscuits, Mummy went on a alternative biscuit hunt. She read somewhere on the internet that the pigeon brand biscuits were yummy, so bought 2 boxes for Kieron to try. One tasted exactly like the Wang Wang (another recalled product) biscuit, quite yummy. The other was rice crackers that were alittle bland.

Over the weekend, Mummy was just scanning through the japanese products in NTUC and came across this new baby biscuits. They are not really biscuits but milk wafer sticks. Mummy thought this was the best tasting baby food ever, so she rushed back to NTUC to buy a few more, or actually Mummy queued and Por Por paid for it. Por Por also bought some baby cheese biscuits for Kieron. The entire lot of biscuits don't come cheap. A small box costs like $3.90 and pigeon biscuits cost even more, $4.90! But its a price that parents have to pay in order to keep their children safe from tainted products.

Mummy stocked Kieron's lock-lock container with at least 4 variety of these biscuits so that he can have more options when he is out. Lucky baby!

It was Mummy's Ah Gong's birthday on Saturday and we went to Por Por Baby's house for the birthday celebration. Mummy brought Kieron's baby chair hoping that he will sit obediently and eat cake and biscuits. But Kieron had plans of his own, he just awoken from a short nap and turned cranky and cry'y the first hour and could not be put down. Luckily, there was Kaka, Mummy and Daddy to take turns carrying you. I believe its the big crowd that startled him. However, as usual, he warmed up and played with Uncle Leon just minutes before we went home.

Friday Night at T3

Daddy's busy period have commenced so he couldn't fetch us back to Por Por's house over the weekend. Ah Gong and Por Por came early on Friday evening to pick us for dinner and back to punggol.

We went to T3 for dinner and in order to keep Kieron in his seat, Por Por went to scout the entire T3 to buy you a piece of cake. She bought a pricey double chocolate muffin from Mrs Field's and Kieron totally enjoyed it.

Kieron's favourite animal at the moment is dogs, he gets super excited when he sees one on the street or on TV. This started from the DHL/Fedex advertisement which have a dog as the main lead. Kieron never fails to stop in his tracks to watch this advertisement. Whilst in T3's NTUC, Kieron was kicking his feet in the air with excitment when he saw the ornamental dogs. Kieron is turning 14 months old soon and yet he still refused to walk. As much as everyone in the house holds both his hand and walk, he will just plonk his butt and crawl away. I took a video of Kieron crawling on kneels with his Fisher Price Brilliant Basic Activity Walker. Subsequently, he dumbs his walker aside and head straight to his Ah Gong and Kieron area (the side cupboard where Ah Gong keeps alot of junk to entertain Kieron in his room). Amazed by Kieron's refusal to walk but astonished by his mega memory of the exact location where his toys are kept.

More Vivo Again!

Mummy took 1/2 day leave to acompany Kieron today as Ah Ma have another medical appointment in the afternoon. Mummy took an additional hour off and left the office at 11am so as to rush home to bring Kieron and Kaka out for lunch as Ah Ma's eye appointment is at 2pm.

Once again, we went to Vivocity to shop around. Reason for the frequent trips to Vivo is because it is the most convenient shopping centre near our house, just 1 MRT and we can reach the shopping mall.

Kieron was a terror in the super crowded MRT. Mummy believed he was cranky as it was his usual afternoon nap time. He fell asleep as soon as we reached Habourfront and we just shopped around for hours, took a short rest at Coffee Bean and waited for Daddy to come and fetch us at 7+pm in the evening.

Selamat Hari Raya Kaka

Mummy have planned the itinerary for the day since Sunday. We went to Guangying Miao to bai bai for everyone, especially Kieron's health and wellbeing, since he have been sick so often in the past month. Afterwhich, we went to Centerpoint for lunch. Mummy and Daddy had wanted to bring Kaka to Sanur for lunch as we believed that she would like some home-cooked food during Hari Raya but unfortunately they were closed so we went to Fish & Co instead. Kaka actually commented that she preferred Fish and Co better than Indonesian food, hehe.

Kaka told Mummy that she called back home and her mother cried over the phone saying that she cooked a lot back home but Kaka will not be able to eat it. When Kaka was telling Mummy her sob story, Mummy could see tears in her eyes. So Mummy took some pictures for her to send home to let her Mummy know that she is living in a lap of luxury in Singapore.

After lunch, Daddy said that Centerpoint was like a ghost town and wanted to go to another shopping centre instead, so we started our walk over to Takashimaya. Mummy also wanted to get Kieron a toy for Children's Day so we headed straight to the Toy's Department. Kieron was mesmerised by the toys and got really excited. He started to ogle at the toys and didn't want to leave the place. We had to literally drag you away. Daddy didn't allow Mummy to buy you any toys as he say you will lose interest in the toy as soon as Mummy pays for it. Thus, no toys for Kieron on Children's Day, but Mummy will make up for it on Friday when she takes you to Vivo.

We walked in town till 5+pm. We were contemplating on going home, but worried that Kieron might wake up from his long nap hungry. We ended up at Long John's Silver for more seafood dinner (cheaper version), and by then Kieron have awoken and ready to have his porridge dinner.

Mummy pleaded with Daddy to let her end her shopping by going to the BIG Robinson's sale. After much persuasion, Daddy gave Mummy 30 mins to shop only at the kid's section. Mummy grabbed a few necessities thinking it will be on 20% discount, but she ended up putting it all back as they say its already on promotion. At the end, Mummy only bought 2 boxes of pigeon biscuit snacks for you. What a disappointing shopping trip at Robinsons.

Go Go Bambini at Home

Kieron doesn't like his car tent which Mummy bought 2 weeks, he rather just spill the balls on the bed, on the floor and everywhere. Mummy finally relented to pouring 100 colourful balls on the bed for you entertainment. He truly enjoyed kicking his legs furiously at the balls and this lasted for quite sometime. From the pictures and the video, it looked as if Kieron watched a scary movie. But the fact is he is actually watching his favourite Hi-5. He truly enjoys Hi-5 and its a necessity during meal time as he will not open his mouth if Hi-5 is not played during lunch or dinner. His favourite character is Charli and this expression intensifies everytime Charli comes on. Weird but extremely cute and funny.

Kieron have caught the bug again, so we brought him back to Dr Ong over at United Square. After the damage of $92 for the medical fees was done, we popped by to Novena Square for some nice foodcourt fare. We shopped around, and found this Adidas Factory Outlet tucked in one corner. Mummy found a very cool jacket and track pants set and fell in love with it. Daddy immediately asked for the price and said NO! when he heard it was $46.00 (there was already a 50% discount, before less was $92!!!). Mummy had to rationalised with Daddy that a baby's jacket was just as costly elsewhere and Kieron had already grew out of his current jacket. So Mummy whipped out her trusty UOB credit card and the payment is done.

In the video, Kieron can cry and laugh within minutes of each other, even Mummy can't do that. This video is taken just moment before we head to the PD again. Kieron is sick again for the 2nd time around in the same month. But from the short clip, he doesn't seem sick but he actually is suffering from a mild case of Bronchitis (and a fever 2 days ago) and needs to be placed on a nabulizer for 5 mins, so poor thing.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Mummy bought Daddy a Mango Cake (although, she was dying to eat her favourite Belgium Chocolate Divine. But she thought she shouldn't be selfish as the cake was too sweet for everyone else's liking). Ah Gong did Mummy a favour by picking up the cake in the afternoon and the entire family was trying our best to not let Daddy open the fridge. Daddy actually opened the fridge to drink water and he actually didn't notice the 1kg cake beside the pitcher. Amazing!

Judging how much Kieron enjoys the playground at Go Go Bambini, Mummy went ahead and bought a little car tent with 100 balls. Por Por contributed another 100 balls to your playground, but it still looks alittle sparse. Mummy will buy more balls to add to Kieron's collection.

Mummy was so excited about your new toy, that I assembled it immediately after reaching home. Kieron was estatic when he first saw it, and he played in his car tent for a good 15 minutes, before he was bored stiff. I guess he was bored playing with himself and Mummy sticked half of her body to play the balls with Kieron and it got him excited for another few more minutes.

The moral of the story is to invite Kieron's friends to play the toy with him in the future.

Saturday Day Out

As usual, Daddy is working on another Saturday so he drove Kieron, Mummy and Kaka over to Por Por's place on Friday night.

Por Por had to attend a wedding lunch at Four Season's on Saturday, so Mummy drove Por Por down to her venue. Whilst waiting for Por Por's lunch to end, we shopped around in Orchard Road.

At about 1.20pm, Kieron had to take his lunch and we headed to the nearest fast food restaurant, Burger King at Liat Towers. After finishing his lunch, Mummy decided to let Kieron try some french fries. He absolutely loved it! He had a total of 5 fries! (The following day, Mummy bought fries for Kieron again and he tried to wallop down the fries at great speed that he vomitted all out. And most of the fries were still in tact! So Por Por and Mummy will not feed Kieron fries till much older). Here are some pictures of Kieron enjoying his fries at Burger King.

After lunch, we shopped more and Mummy bought a few tops for herself and couldn't resist buying another 2 Esprit T-shirts for Kieron. At about 3.30pm, we went to fetch Por Por and gave Por Por's friend a free lift home. We only managed to reach home at 5pm! Daddy was already at Por Por's house when we reached back. We brought Kieron to punggol plaza, then to the basketball court to watch some basketball action and finally called it a day and went back home 1.5hrs later.

Mummy Down, Kieron Down

The past week have been a horror. First, Mummy gotten a very bad flu bug which caused her to have a fever, a cough and a terrible running nose. Mummy's sickness started on Wednesday and it lingered on till Sunday. Daddy asked Mummy to change the sleeping routine till my sickness recover as he didn't want Kieron to catch the virus. However, unfortunately due to logistical problems (Mummy do not want to harp on it anymore), Kieron had to sleep in the same room as Mummy and Daddy still.

As you guessed it, Kieron caught the bug on Thursday night. He woke up with a temperature measuring 39.2 degrees celsius, his body was burning at 3am. Mummy woke Daddy up so that he can help Mummy feed Kieron Panadol provided by the PD when we went for Kieron's Pneumococcal jab. By daybreak, Kieron's fever have been hovering around 38 degrees celsius and since Mummy still feel like crap, she taken another day MC and ask Daddy to take half day off to bring Kieron to see the doctor.

When we arrived at the clinic, Kieron's shot up to 39 degrees celsius again, the nurses mentioned that since his fever was so high, he was given priority to see the doctor. Dr Ong said that Kieron most likely got the virus from his wonderful Mummy and gave tons of medicine (see below).

For the rest of Friday, Kieron was lethargic and rested on the lap of Kaka and Mummy the entire day. He didnt even want to move.

On Saturday, Kieron looked better and even played in the morning. We headed to Por Por's only in the late afternoon and you recuperated there. Despite, your constant temperature, you seem more cheerie. When Sunday came, you started became withdrawn again and slept a good 6 hours for the entire day, guess your fever was exhausting you away. By evening time, your temperature seem to have subsided but to be on the safe side, Daddy fed you the last dose of your fever medicine and as usual you resisted and cried till you were breathless.

Mummy took your temperature this morning and your fever has disappeared. Thank god! You were still sleeping when Daddy and Mummy went to work so I hope it the end of the virus for both Mummy and Kieron.

Kieron's Day Out For Another Jab

Daddy and Mummy had waited for Kieron to turn 1 before getting his Pneumococcal Jab as the younger he took the jab, the more jabs he had to take. Mummy didn't want Kieron to go through all the pain.

This was the first time we went to Dr Ong's clinic and it was totally empty. The nice nurses took Kieron's weight and height. Kieron is now 11.8kg and 84cm tall at 13 months. Mummy always joke with Daddy that Kieron has to buy to purchase an MRT card if he grows another 6 cm. Kieron took his jab and cried for 5 mins and recovered soon after.

We went for lunch at Globetrotters to use our $50 compensation voucher and there was some miscommunication with them again and luckily we were able to use our vouchers. Think we will not go back there ever again.

After lunch, we headed to Kieron's favourite place, Go Go Bambini. He was asleep when we arrive and because he haven't slept for the entire morning. We decided to let him continue his nap in his stroller, whilst we waited in the playground. He awoken in 45 minutes and was good to start having fun.

We left for Vivocity at about 4pm as Mummy wanted to get some ingredients for her Ceaser Salad. We stayed there for dinner and some shopping and finally went back home at 7+pm. Mummy told Daddy that we ought to change our routine alittle as its always playground and Vivocity thereafter, hehe.

Kieron's First Taste of Mooncake

Daddy was reading a feature on mooncakes in the Newspaper and Mummy joined him in ogling at the yummy pictures. We headed straight for Jurong Point after Kieron took his nightly baths to satisfy everyone's sudden craving for mooncake. Daddy bought a small box of 8 mini mooncakes (with single egg yoke) from Bengawan Solo.

Kieron had his first bite of the mooncake and fell in love with it, we gave him 1/2 of a mini mooncake and he finished every bit of it (excluding the egg yoke). Mummy can't wait to buy Kieron a lantern for the mooncake festival to celebrate his first mooncake festival :)

Daddy and Mummy is starting to clear leave for 2008, and 18 August 2008 is one of the days. Mummy had discovered that there is a indoor playground which is suitable for babies under 2 years old through one of the forums. Mummy have been bugging Daddy to bring you go for the longest time, and Daddy had his reservations as there was a widespread of the Hand Foot Mouth disease. Daddy finally relented and we brought you to Go Go Bambini in the afternoon. They were having a promotion at the moment, and all kids under 2 years old was free!

Kieron reached the playground in a groggy mood as he had been awaken by me who dragged him out of the car when he was still sleeping. He didnt take long before he warmed up to the place and started playing. When we entered the playground, there was a baby gal (Sophie) in front of us and we all thought that she was just a baby and how can she play but Mummy started to get acquainted with her mummy and found out that she was 15 months old, 3 months older than Kieron!!! Daddy and I couldn't believe it.

Kaka attempted to carry you from the playground and you turned angry as you were enjoying yourself and have not had enough fun yet. We stayed at the playground from 2+pm - 3.30pm. We finally managed to pull you away from the ball area and you didnt fuss as Mummy believed you were hungry. Kaka fed you your milk and we were off to our favourite shopping centre, Vivocity.

It was 4pm,Daddy, Mummy and Kaka was starving as we have not taken our lunch. We had a quick bite at the foodcourt and went to Giant and bought 10 big packets of Pampers. Daddy went to the carpark to deposit the Pampers in the car first, we decided to let you sit on the kiddie rides. When we wanted to leave, you cried so loudly that we left you there for a while more before we dragged you away.

We headed straight to Junior League in Toys'R'Us for your haircut. By now, you were cranky because you wanted to take a nap. Even your favourite Hi Fi cd was not able to hold you down. So in order to distract you from your haircut, Mummy had to buy you a cheapo toy. The haircut seem to take forever and your temper had gotten from bad to worse. To control the situation, Mummy have to constantly distract you with my monkey faces. The things that Mummy do...hehe

Daddy insisted that we should head home immediately after your haircut as you will be uncomfortable in your clothings (with all the hair on your t-shirt). Kieron knocked out in the car and slept through from the time we boarded the car to the time Mummy went to get dinner till we reached home.

Kieron amazes the entire family once in while with his cute antics. We discovered that he will attempt to tell us when the ball rolls underneath the sofa by bending real low and looking under the sofa. Kieron is 1 today!

Mummy and Daddy had taken leave long time ago just to spend the day with Kieron. We went out to Crystal Jade for Lunch with your Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Auntie Huang Hai, Cousin Hubert, Daddy and Mummy. After lunch, Mummy went in search of a cake to celebrate Kieron's birthday at home in the evening. We wanted to buy a yummy cake from Prima Deli but the selection of cakes were pitiful so we trotted over to Bengawan Solo. Mummy was about to buy the Mango cake when Ah Ma mentioned that the cartoon cakes were very cute, so we bought the "Cars" theme cake instead.

We went to Guanyin Miao thereafter to bai bai and thank Guanyin Niang Niang for Kieron being well and healthy over the past year. Mummy and Ah Ma went in search of a ba gua anklet for Kieron around the temple area for Kieron to wear during this month just for safety. We finally found a shop just outside the temple selling genuine silver for only $26, Mummy bought it straight away.

Vivocity was the next destination to get Kieron a birthday toy. Mummy was very bent on getting Kieron a leapfrog toy as Mummy had read in many forums that it was a good educational toy for all babies and toddlers. So after a long search in Toys'R'Us, Mummy finally found LeapFrog's Alphabet Ball.

Kieron had always liked windmills but Daddy refused to buy the windmills from the party shops as he said that there were many small parts which naughty Kieron will put in his mouth and choke. Fortunately the windmill at Toys'R'Us was safe enough for Kieron and it only cost $1.95. We walked around in Vivo till about 6pm and went home as your grand aunties were coming for dinner.

Kieron had his 2nd celebration in the evening with all Cousin Hubert, Cousin Kenneth, Auntie Huang Hai, Uncle Ben, Ah Gong, Ah Ma and your 2 Grand Aunties. The pictures below is self explanatory (I love Daddy's expression in the photos, more entertaining than Kieron's):

Mummy had bought for Kieron 2 new sets of PJs from Robinson's previously. Being the kiasu parent, Mummy bought 2 sizes too big and the bottoms keep falling off when you roll and climb. Kieron and his 3kg Soccer Cake

Kieron had his 1st Birthday Bash on the 2nd August 2008 at Globetrotters in United Square.

Daddy went to the venue early to make sure that everything was in place and that the event will go on smoothly. However, the restaurant didn't allow Daddy access to the venue till 15 minutes before the reserved timing of 3pm. We reached the restaurant at 3.10pm and Auntie Sharon, Uncle Peter, Uncle Chaoting and his son had already arrived. It wasn't too long before the rest of the crowd came strolling in. Mummy started to give out the Kiddie Goody Bags, the Thank You Gifts (Above 1 year old) and the Baby Pressies (for those below 1 year old) to all that came.

Por Por said the food was yummy so mummy took a plate and tried, and it was indeed delicious. Mummy was pleasantly surprised as she thought it would just taste the same as all catered food. Here is the menu which Daddy and Mummy had selected for your party:

At about 3.30pm, Daddy and informed Mummy that the cake had not been delivered yet. Mummy was both frantic and pissed at Prima Deli for delaying the delivery of the cake. Mummy had paid an additional $10 (on top of the delivery charge of $10) to ensure that the cake was sent from 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Mummy had checked a few times with the restaurant to make sure that they didnt receive it before calling Prima Deli to make a big fuss. At 4pm, there was still no sight of the cake, Mummy had approached the Restaurant Manager this time and she said that she will check the fridge again. Alas, she came out and said that the cake was sitting in the fridge all along. Mummy felt so bad for giving Prima Deli such a hard time when its the restaurant which made the mistake. ( A big sorry to Prima Deli)

We finally brought the cake out at 4.30pm and everyone sang a Happy Birthday song for Baby. I had rehearsed with Kieron by singing the song to him countless of times (making it very entertaining with clapping and all) before the day itself so that he will not be frightened and cry when a whole bunch of people sang it in front of him. Mummy carried Kieron and blew the cake (opps! Mummy forgot to make a birthday wish for Darling. I will make sure I do it when I buy Baby another cake for his actual Birthday on thursday).

By the time everyone had a slice of the cake, it was close to 5pm already. The guests started to leave and by 6pm, the restaurant told us to take our leave as well as they had to prepare for another party at 6.30pm.

We headed back to Por Por's house with all the Kieron's pressies, ang paos and vouchers. We started to open the presents 1 and at time and it seems that Mummy is more excited than Kieron. I will upload the videos and the photos of the gift opening ceremony in the next entry. It was only then that Mummy remembered that there was suppose to be ice-cream at the party and the restaurant had totally forgot to serve it. Mummy wrote an email to the restaurant and they apologised and compensated us with vouchers.

Overall, it was a good party. The food was good but just some hiccups with the restaurant's service. The cake was yummy too. Daddy, Mummy and Kieron would like to say a humongous thank you to everyone who attended Kieron's party and for making his party a big success. Last but not least, we would like to thank Uncle Jonathan for taking such lovely pictures of the party as well, we absolutely love the photos!

My new car!

Kieron's got his first car!

Por Por had set her mind to buy Kieron a car (toy car) for his birthday because he simply loves steering wheels. So on Saturday we went in search of the perfect car for Kieron. We had our mind set on a model which we happen to see when Mummy was browsing through some other Mummy's blog. We went to a few Toys'R'Us and couldn't find that particular model. Por Por being deperate to get you a car on the spot, wanted to buy a battery operated car instead. We were decided between 2 models and when we finally selected the car, the shop assistant told us both also no more stock.

Mummy went online to do her research and got the exact model and called up every Toys'R'Us and check. Por Por continued the phone search and finally found the Toys'R'Us at Forum had the model that we were search for. We rushed there on Sunday afternoon and finally bought it. Kieron was super excited and he "drive" his car from the shop to the carpark. All the kids were envious of Kieron's car and one of their parents actually asked us where we got it from.

That very evening, Mummy and Daddy brought Kieron downstairs with his new vehicle for a walk and Kieron was busy driving away. When Mummy and Daddy stopped to rest, you looked at us and complained, so we thought you got sick of the car and wanted to be carried. But we were wrong! You looked back at your car and wanted to continue to "drive" your car. You were actually complaining to Mummy that you wanted to move and didn't want to stop. Amazing!

We have decided to leave your vehicle at Por Por's house because there simply isn't enough space to store it in Ah Ma's house. At least now you will be looking forward to go Por Por's house every weekend.

Mummy brought Kieron to Uncle Shahrin and Auntie Sin's wedding at Orchid Country Club. As usual Daddy had to work so he couldn't join us, instead Kaka tagged along and she took care of your every need.

The wedding was held at the foyer of the country club so there was no air-condition. Most of us were perspiring like mad even before the wedding commenced. Kieron was a darling and didn't complain about the heat at all. However, when you were having your dinner, you started to drip sweat and your hair was drenched, so Mummy changed your linen shirt into a more comfy cotton t-shirt. Although the pictures which Uncle Jon (very nice photos by the way) took of you showed that you were unhappy and in a daze, you were actually quite a cheerie baby throughout the dinner. You entertained everyone at our table with your little tricks.

Kieron's new stunt is to copy everyone's action. Recently Ah Gong took a good gulp of his coffee and gave out a "AHHhhhHh", like a sign of satisfaction, and guess who followed him.

Daddy and Mummy brought Kieron to Tampines Mall for some shopping on Sunday and we went to QiJi for lunch. Mummy quickly rushed to a nearby cake shop to buy a small piece of cake for Kieron so he will not be complaining when we were eating. Kaka fed Kieron first followed by Daddy. Kieron's MRT Ride with Daddy!

Daddy and Mummy met with yet another car accident, thank goodness both of them escaped unscathed.

On Thursday morning, Daddy and Mummy left the house at about 9am to make a report and to send the car for minor repairs and were back by 11am. We waited for Kieron to take his porridge lunch and a nice bath. We headed to to Jurong Point for lunch with Ah Gong and Ah Ma at Soup Restaurant and everyone were crazy of their Tofu Prawns (Real yummy!). Kieron was such a darling to sleep through lunch and allowed everyone to enjoy their meal.

After lunch, we went to Raffles City Shopping Centre to walk walk. As the car was still at the workshop, we had to take the MRT. From the photos, Kieron enjoyed his MRT ride thoroughly with Daddy. (or is it Daddy enjoying more? hehe)

Mummy bought more clothes for Kieron because FOX was having a major sale. Mummy continued Kieron's shopping spree in Robinson's and bought Kieron another 2 more sets of pyjamas. During our trip to Raffles City, Kieron didn't even sleep a wink so he was cranky by the time we headed back and slept throughout his MRT ride home. Baby woke up just in time for his dinner, whilst Mummy and Daddy go collect our car.

We waited for Auntie April and Cousin Cayenne to arrive at Ah Ma's house this week as Auntie April had 2 free movie tickets for Mummy and Daddy. Baby Kieron couldn't stop crying when he saw Uncle Bernard. He will start with a pout and wail after 2 minutes looking at Cousin Cayenne's Daddy. Reason being, Kieron does not like strangers very much and the last time we saw Uncle Bernard was about a few months ago.

However, this didn't stop Auntie April and Cousin Cayenne from playing with me. They played with you for a long time and didn't even feel tired, amazing! We only left the house at about 6pm for Por Por's house.

Mummy bought this new PJs on Saturday after the doctor's visit. You wore it for the first time last night and everyone at home couldn't stop exclaiming how cute you looked. Mummy feel that you looked like a big boy already.

But not too sure whether its the new PJs, you woke up like twice crying last night, exhausting both Daddy and Mummy.

Rashy Kieron

We were at Jurong Point for our daily evening walks, then Daddy found a mosquito bite on Kieron's hand and it grew into a cluster of mosquito bites. We were quite worried and went home immediately. It disappeared by the time we reached home and in the next 15 minutes, more errupted on his back. Mummy came to the conclusion that you were suffering from Feng Mok (the cantonese version) or Hong Mok (Hokkien version). Despite the fact that feng mok is suppose to be itchy, Kieron wasn't scratching at all. Thus, Mummy and Daddy still went to work the following day but Mummy still called home several times to check on Kieron and Ah Ma said that you were okay. However when we came home after work, Kaka said that the rash came on and off the entire day.

Daddy and Mummy didn't want to take the risk that your condition will worsen so Mummy brought you to visit Dr Ong on Saturday. (Daddy had to go to work on Saturday morning so couldn't join us) Dr Ong mentioned that you suffering from the small version of hives and asked what you have consumed over the past few days, he added that there is no immediate cure for hives. He just gave you some oral medication and cream to apply to surpress the rash. He warned Mummy that the hives will continue for at least 5-6 days.

Kieron was totally unaffected by the hives and he even played with other babies in the clinic.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

This is Daddy's first Father's Day. Mummy had already gave Daddy his father's day present on behalf of Kieron last Tuesday so we didn't have any special celebrations except for a family dinner in the evening. Our entire family was donned with identical T-Shirts which Mummy bought at OP recently.

We then headed to Gelare in Siglap for desserts. Kieron was in a super happy mood as he gets to savour some of the ice-cream as well.

Mummy had the impression that you loved swimming since you thoroughly enjoyed your swimming session at Batam, so Daddy and Mummy brought you to Marina Country Club's swimming pool. The rates for public were reasonable but the place looks pretty run down and there were tons of mosquitoes and other insects.

Kieron was chirpy at the start but when he entered the water, he was frightened and didn't feel comfortable. He started crying and so after just 15 minutes, Daddy say that was the end of the swimming session. Mummy still believes Kieron loves the water but the environment was too...err...gross...hehe. We will just go to the pool at Auntie Nikki's house in the future.

Kieron is apparently very ticklish at his neck area. Kaka was bathing you before we head to Por Por's house and you couldn't stop giggling when Kaka brushed the sponge against your neck.

Happy Kieron at the start of the trip

Its the time where your Ah Ma goes for a regular quarterly medical check-up for her leg, so as usual Mummy will take 1/2 day and bring Kieron for a good shopping spree.

Mummy had planned an entire list of things to buy, and Vivocity is the place where all the shops are, so we headed there straight after Mummy returned from her half day work. Here are some of the things Mummy had planned to buy at Vivo:

1) Daddy's Father's Day Pressie (Bought 2 Zara Tops)
2) A pair of nice covered shoes for Kieron ( Didnt find something which is nice and affordable)
3) More clothes for Kieron ( 1 singlet and shorts suit from Fox)
4) More toys for Kieron ( 3 rubber balls from Toys "r" us)
5) Kieron's biscuit (Couldn't find in Giant)
6) Kieron's fruits ( No time to buy)
7) Kieron's bathing sponge ( Bought the same bathing sponge at Watson's for Por Por's house)
8) More clothes for Mummy ( 2 cheapo Esprit tops)

We braved the afternoon crowd and took the MRT to Vivocity. Mummy overslept in the MRT and we missed our stop at Outram and ended up in Tanjong Pagar instead. We had to take the train back and change to NEL line. We finally reached Habourfront at 2pm, where the starving Mummy headed straight to Burger King for her lunch and Kieron had his milk.

We just walked and walked and walked the entire 4-5 hours and finally took a rest at the food court at HabourFront for your porridge dinner. Afterwhich, we went to the humongous Mothercare and Kieron had tons of fun on this little einstein toy and refused to come out. Unfortunately, the toy cost $200+ and Mummy was too poor to buy it for Kieron. As usual, Kieron played with all the rides just outside Mothercare and Mummy took a picture of you in all the rides.

We walked around somemore till Daddy arrived at about 7+pm. We then went for dinner at the food court at Vivocity. Daddy tried on his Father's Day present (2 Zara tops) and the sizes didn't fit well, so we had to go back to Zara to change it. We finally change the tops and headed home. Kieron had a nice nap in the car and was an energiser bunny when he reached home and didn't sleep till 11pm.

Kieron's First Trip to the Zoo

Auntie Nikki got free tickets to the zoo this weekend and we tagged along. Mummy bought 2 sets of clothes for you the day before and you have worn the first set for dinner last night and now the second set for your zoo trip.

You took a short nap in the car and you were bright awake when we reached the zoo at 10am. As usual Auntie Nikki was late and only reached at 10.45am. During the midst of waiting, Mummy fed you some mash potato so that you could last longer before your next meal.

You were so cheerie that Mummy quickly whipped out my camera and asked you to clap you hands and you did! Here is the long awaited video:

We entered the zoo with much antipation, the first stop was the tiger trek where you viewed some white fur tigers (the signage wrote that they are not albino but have a special white fur coat). Uncle Shahrom wanted to watch the elephant show so we zoomed there immediately after the tigers as it was due to start like 15 minutes later. We reached the venue of the elephant show but it was super duper crowded that we all had to stand around to watch. You turned cranky and wanted to nap but as usual you have to fuss alot before you can even sleep. At one point of the show, you even threw your pacifier at the elephant!

After the animal show, we headed for lunch at KFC. You had your porridge there and was cranky throughout as you still havent taken your nap yet. After your porridge, Auntie Nikki brought you to the playground where you sat on the swing for the very first time. You were entertained for 5 minutes before you turned cranky again

By now, Kieron have been awake for a good 4 hours and he finally slept at 2pm. (by the way, the nap he took in the car was only 10-15 mins. So by right, he was awake for 6 hours!) We finally left the zoo at 2.30pm and Kieron slept all the way till 3.30pm.

Daddy and I learnt a good lesson from our zoo trip, and that is you are still too young to enjoy the zoo or any animal parks. Luckily the weather was nice and cool so it made the zoo trip more bearable.

Family Dinner

Ah Gong won some money at the lottery so he gave the entire family a treat. We went to one of the restaurant which Uncle Terence was manages, Fresh Bulgogi, a Korean restaurant in Changi Airport Terminal 2. Mummy and Por Por was clueless about how to order as we were not big fans of Korean food, so Uncle Terence introduced a wide spread of food for us to cook over the BBQ and steamboat. Overall the food was quite nice but Kieron still couldn't enjoy the food as you were still too young.

After dinner, Ah Gong treated everyone to ice-cream at Swenson's. Now, finally Kieron get to savour some of the yummy food which everyone is enjoying. Dinner and desserts ended at 10pm and its time to head back to Por Por's to rest for the night before tomorrow's zoo trip.

My Little "Ah Beng"

Is Kieron turning to be a mini Daddy at such a tender age? Caught Kieron sitting like a typical Ah-Beng on his stroller when we were on our way to Jurong Point. Apparently, this is a super comfortable position, he even manages to sleep on his stroller in this position.

A Visit to Great Grandfather's House

Por Por visits Mummy's Ah Gong aka your Great Grandfather every alternate week. We decided to tag along with Por Por last week.

Mummy first picked up Por Por Bernie at her place then we made our way to Lot 1 for lunch and subsequently to Mummy's Ah Gong's house. You had your porridge for lunch and half a slice of yummy strawberry cake (which we bought from Four Leaves) for dessert. Here is a picture of us with your great grandpa.

Over the weekend, Kieron started a new trick and that is to blow bubbles when he is having a meal.

Kieron has also learnt how to clap your hands, not by imitating other people but by listening to Mummy's instructions. Mummy have been trying to videotape you clapping your hands, but have failed every single time. I will succeed the next time and post it up soon.

Where is the Missing Puff?

We recently bought a new snack for Kieron as the only snack he had previously was his nestle biscuits (which he simply adores).

This gerber graduates finger food resembles the honey stars cereal that we adults eat, but apparently it melt in your mouth so the little one will not choke.

Mummy was so tickled when I saw Kieron attempt to put of the puffs in his mouth but he aimed wrongly so it got stuck at the side of his mouth instead (or maybe he was just trying to keep some of the puff for supper). He didn't even realise it was there until the puff dropped of by itself. Some cute pictures of Kieron with his supper.

Kieron can crawl!

Kieron can finally crawl independently without slamming his face on the floor. Daddy and Mummy didnt dare to let you crawl on the floor previously in fear that you will hurt yourself. But Daddy decided to let you practice and you have shown vast improvements over the week.

The hokkien saying of " 7 sit, 8 crawl and 9 grow teeth" doesn't really work on Kieron. He could sit at 7 months, crawl on the bed at 6 months, crawl on the floor at 9 months, and his teeth started to sprout at 7-8 months (he has a total of 6 teeth now, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom!)
